Can someone let me know which 5xxx or 6xxx card is the performance equivalent of the Ti4200? (I know the 5200 underperforms it, and the 6600s blow it out of the water)

Thanks,

I'd say the FX5700, but they're much worse in price/performance. If you're looking for something midrange, I greatly suggest ATI ... unless it's for a fanboy friend who refuses to know any better. In that case, I suggest hacking the driver inf's so that the Radeon shows up as a Ti-series. ;)

6200 would be roughly the equal of the Ti4200(with a superior feature set). The 660GT or 6800NU are equal to what the Ti4200 was when it first came out.

Don't know about that, I won't put anything ATi in any rig I have to handle support on, particularly not if it's going into a gamers rig. Been running a 9800Pro for close to a year now for the record.

No one carries them near where I live anymore.

I'll checkout 6200s as Ben suggested.

Try playing Sacrifice. ATi broke that game about two years ago, still hosed with the 4.11s.
