I currently have a 36gb raptor, 80gig wd eide, and a wd 120gig sata.

i want to get rid of the eide b/c it causes so many headaches. Whats the best hard drive between 150-400 gigs out right now?

You could probably cure your IDE problems fairly easily. But if you're set on a new drive, the Perpendicular recording Seagates seem to be the quickest drives that arn't raptors.

dBTelos is right. Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 🙂
I got 2x 320 in RAID0 and WOW is all i have to say 🙂. Great average transfer rate (116mb/sec benchmarked with HDTune)

i've had issues with it for a while - i was having issues like the error msg "error loading operating system" and some other errors when trying to reinstall on the raptor. i tried a lot of things - the only thing that worked was to unplug the ide HD - which unfortunately has ALL my saved info 🙁
