11. Since the start of military action in Iraq, about how many U.S. military personnel have been killed? 4,300 Incorrect 38

10/12

thought the Iraq casualty was closer to 5300
and wording in final confused me. I know Bernanke is chair of the Fed, but thought there was some other position they were asking about, so I voted Volker, who had that position before Greenspan, iirc. 🙁

11/12, missed the one about Obama increasing the number of troops to Afghanistan. Not bad for a Canadian though.

# of troops killed - my answer 3,300 (when wa the last time the national news updated this?)

Unemployment rate - my answer 12% ( I live in CA)

well, it was a HUGE deal when it hit 4k a few years ago. It was all over the news. Going by that, I had assumed it had reached 5300 by now, so that's why I got it wrong.

as for unemployment, I also live in CA, know it's at 11-12% here and that it is well above the national ave.

IIRC, highest national rate during the great Depression was 15%? maybe 22%?

I got the unemployment rate wrong. I answered 12%, which is the CA's unemployment rate. National avg. is 8%.

I don't watch news on TV or read the news, but I listen to NPR religiously.
