I was wondering how do you get pc manufacturers to send you pc parts like fans, memory etc to evaluate like anandtech or other website. If Anand had to pay for every product he evaluate he would probably go broke. I am sure manufacturers benefit from these review.
You don't, until you have enough traffic to be taken seriously by the manufacturers. So at first you would have to buy everything. Also they almost always loan equipment so don't think about doing it to score phat l3wt 🙂
You'd probably have to have somewhat of a reputation first. This worked years ago, but too many people started review sites so they could get free hardware. I don't think it really works very well any more
I have a friend who started a website and got sent free stuff, mainly things like heatsink and fans though, but it was still free.
Just email the companies and give it a go. He got free stuff from Akasa.
(Site is in the UK) Not a plug, but Site He put up links and a little sponsor thingy as well.
If you want you might be able to email and ask him about it.
The site doesn't get major traffic and he managed to get stuff.
