curious about couple statements that get thrown around...

When people say that you're a beginner up until you can bench your weight or squat 1.5x your body weight...whatever it may be.

Are they just referring to 1 rep or a set of 12reps or 5reps...!?! This has bugged me for a little while.

on a plus note, I did 3 @ 191 bench this Friday. Was doing a modified bill star(forget name) 5x5. I clock in at 190 : )...need to get my body fat measured still.

Hey, that's usually referring to the 1 rep max (often times referred to 1RM around here or in text).
