Curious About Backpacking in Europe

Anybody here done it? How much did you end up out of pocket? I went to London for two weeks, and that was bloody expeneisve.

west europe is the wrong place to go if you are going on the cheap.
Well, except spain I guess, things are still pretty cheap there, but not even close to the prices in the east.
