ok i have been having problems with my asus a8v i had the problem were i couldnt get my raptor hard drive to be found got the windows does not detect drive thing. Then i had problems with that dula channel thing not working. i have found away to fix it (i think/ worked for me)
i have a rev. 2 board with 4x256mb of kingston hyper x that is meant to work in dual channel but it wasnt working. My board wouldnt post when i had ram in any ofthe a1 or a2 slots it would only post if i had 1 stick in b1 and i could also put a stick in b2 also but thats not dual channel mode.
steps:
1 turn you comp off. take the bios battery out and clear cmos.
2 take ALL ram out of your system
3 take the graphic card out
4 re-set your cpu (take it out and put it back in the socket)
5 i waited about ten minutes before i put my parts back into my comp. after that i put my ram in then my cpu and then my graphics card and last the battery for the bios. i started the machine up and it posted. (also moved my hd to the via sata port 2)

hope this can help some (maybe alot) of you with this problem
