Curb weight? Gross Vehicle weight?

At websites, such as Edmund's, it lists the weight as 2672lbs. But in the spec book and on the tag on the door (when you open it up, shows tire info, manufactured date, etc..) it says the gross vehicle weight at like 3630!

What's the difference? What's the real weight??

Curb weight is generally the shipping weight. GVW is the max weight the vehicle is designed for: Vehicle, cargo and passengers.

Oh ok, sounds right. The 118hp engine pulling around 3600lbs wouldn't be too fun though.

Well, if you take the curb weight, a driver and some gas you would probably be under 3,000#.

Subtract the larger mumber from the smaller and you have the total payload the car can safely carry. The weight of the passengers, their luggage and the tongue weght of a trailer, when added together, should not exceed this number.
