Our last Cuisinart coffee maker was a POS, and the cups are 5 ounces. A "real" measuring cup is 8 ounces, so this thing makes 60 ounces or about 7 "real" cups.

agree~and it's used, not new... as for cup size, what else do you expect from a socialist coffee machine...
Like I said, they didn't redefine a cup. Many coffee makers have been doing that for years.
The standard coffee "cup" is 5 ounces. That's what I'm getting at. They don't mean cups as in the measuring cups, but the itty bitty fancy-type coffee cups.

1 "cup" from a coffee maker will fill one of those.
Are there any coffee makers out there that are actually marked in 8 ounce increments?
