My finger unfortunately. Bloody onions anyone?

It was only a small chunk, but it bled all over the place. Of course, it happened right at the beginning of my cooking, when I was on a deadline for a dinner party. Made it in time, but it was close.

BTW, I took out the bloody onions. ;)

Back in the eighties, my favorite game was Wizardry.

My weapon of choice was "Blade Cuisinart".

Very effective at cutting up your enemies. ;)

I know how they feel. My friend used to play that game -- I always got a kick out of the name "Werdna", for obvious reasons.

At least the stew turned out well. I also redeemed myself from an earlier cooking disaster and managed a rather tasty tiramisu. :D

I cooked professionally for 7 years and barely ever cut myself. How'd you manage that one?

I was in a hurry and reached into the Cuisinart (it was off -- not that stupid) to pull out a large piece of onion that hadn't been chopped at all. Unfortunately, it was sitting right on top of the blade, which was covered in the rest of the onions. Nick/curse/bleed.

I've not used the Cuisinart much -- I tend to do most things by hand. Heh, took care of that, didn't I? :)

Nothing like a little bio hazard to spice up a meal, eh Namuna? :disgust: Remind me not to eat at your restaurant. :D

The only other time I've cut myself badly was with a bread knife. Serrated edges are nasty (it cut under my fingernail and along the side -- ouch). I don't recall exactly how that happened, but I remember I was cutting a bagel.
