i am looking to buy rtx 3060ti. I have chosen two models of asus one is tuf rtx 3060ti which is 8gb and with 4864 cuda cores , 256bit and 14gbps and other one is tuf rtx 3060 which is 12gb but has less cuda cores 3584 but memory speed is 15gbps and memory interface is 192 bit only.
so for gaming only which one to choose? to be future proof, can i go with 12gb but it has less cuda cores.

I assume you are playing at 1080p or 1440p, because neither of these are 4K cards. 8GB is plenty for a lower resolution, especially since DLSS will become more common to and reduce VRAM consumption even more. The 3060 Ti is like 30% faster at 1440p, roughly comparable to a 2070 vs a 2080 Super, so this seems like a no brainer to me.
