Cuba: Has isolation worked?

I voted YES. Castro can always claim that Cuba's problems are caused by the US embargo . . . it's worked like a dream.

Castro can trade with anyone but the USA. It doesn't hurt him much there but the trade embargo closed alot of his bank accounts and his chances to get money from other countries. BTW the families of the 6 guys who died in 96 flying near Cuba in international waters were awarded millions from Castro thanks to the embargo they just took it from his accounts. Maybe am biased but am Cuban so yes it is good its not like Castro wants anything from us he just uses it to claim the yankee imperialism is evil and complain about his cash.

Castro is still in power so I would say all it's done is keep me from smoking the best cigars in the world. I really would like to spark one up when Bush is gone.

I think that is the sole reason we still have the embargo. The American-Cubans love it and everyone else is more interested in what comes on TV in 5 minutes.
