Anyone here had any good/bad experiences with CTX monitors?

The one im looking at in particular is the CTX VL950 19".
heres a link:
http://www.ctx.com.tw/Frame-product-vl950.htm

Check out the specs and tell me what yous think coz its really cheap at the moment here in Australia.
Ive never bought a monitor before so I dont really know what to look for. All I know is that its a 19" and the website says it can do 1600x1200 @ 75Hz. Is that good?

Other than this Im looking at a Hitachi CM-615 17".

Any info is much appreciated.

I had one it was good with sharp text however it went faulty after 2 years,I`m now using a Flatscreen monitor(LG 915FT Flatron) if you got the extra cash try & buy a flatscreen from Samsung,LG,Mitsubishi etc.

I own a VL950SL-1 (the short-neck edition of the very same monitor) which, to my knowledge, is nearly identical as far as specifications. I rate it as excellent. The sharpness and resolutions it can handle far exceed my needs (gamer/amateur 3d rendering) and the color and brightness are just simply astounding (I run a brightness of 20% and a Contrast of 74% and it is still much brighter and richer in color than any other monitor I have seen, expensive Sonys excluded). High marks from me.
