I've got the 17" version right in front of me. Looks fine to me. I don't know about the 19, but the 17 is digital shortneck, and has an integral USB hub. CTX has been making monitors for years. I had a 14" back in my 386 days. Heck, I still got it, and it still works!

May be worth a shot, but staples also carries the VL950 for 350.99, so you may be able to PM with page computer, use a 30 off 150 (or 40 off 200 if you dare) and get free shipping. Should work out to:

350.99 Staples Price
-50.26 PC PM (80.99 diff - 30.73 shipping)*
-30.00 30 off 150
-50.00 Rebate

220.73 Final price (plus whatever tax)

I haven't tried it so, I don't know if it will work.

*Doh! I forgot about shipping. The CSR I talked to said that they would price match on the 3-5 day shipping since the monitor carries a 3-5 day availabity at Staples.

I don't think the VL950 staples has is a VL950-3 but I could be wrong so if you try the deal thumperA has, make sure that the monitor is a Mfr#:VL950-3 so that the rebate is good

I called Staples and they didn't have any additional information than what was available at their web site.

This is a great monitor, I've been selling these with systems I build since the summer. However, beware of PageComputer. I used to use them as a vendor but after repeated mischarges, and lost orders, I decided that their low prices weren't worth the hassle. Especially when, whenever I called I couldn't even talk to someone that could speak english! Perhaps they have improved since I dealt with them, but if not, be sure to stay away! Hope this helps.
