I'm running a Windows Server 2008 machine in Virtual box on a Windows 8 host. I need to be able to hold the ctrl key so that I can make selections of multiple objects in places such as windows explorer. (like selection multiple folders) Or even the shift key to make selections.
I'm aware that the right ctrl key makes the virtual machine capture or not capture keyboard input. (turning it on and off as a toggle).
Maybe I'm overlooking something simple but I've been searching for an answer for a while now.
I appreciate it.
Edit: So the ctrl key does work as it will allow me to ctrl+c and ctrl+v. But it refuses to do anything when trying to make selections of multiple objects.
To be more specific, I'm in active directory users and computers; I'm trying to select multiple users to make changes simultaneously. This is a school assignment and the instructions say to hold ctrl while selecting the different users. This is nothing new to me.. It just doesn't work. I feel like it's not a virtualbox problems since ctrl works for other things. I can't imagine that this expensive ass school book is telling me to do something that doesn't work. I might just have to do everything one at a time to satisfy the assignment and move on I guess.
