I have to make a very small news ticker for my company and I'm using CSS to format my page. Guess what? IE6 doesn't display it right, only Mozilla 1.2 can display it right. It's been a long time since I said that IE sux(maybe back in the IE3.0 days) but I have to say Mozilla really got veeeeery good. (If only Webmasters would program pages like: if(browser == mozilla){page shouldn't work, propose to install IE}

Cuz a ton of pages would _now_ also work with Mozilla 1.2)

True, but Mozilla 1.2 really has no problems with pages I visit. I can only recommend Mozilla 1.2 :)

I did, I just wanted to rant ;) It's just a pity that no current browser supports the standards 100%. Each Browser has it's own interpretation of it, no?

yea, pretty much. but it is much better these days... i mean back in 96? pshh... browser market was split in two, which means you *had* to design for both, and at that time they were much more different. these days... you don't have to worry about non IE browsers so much :p

the problem is IE prefers broken implementations of certain things

but that's just an 1.3 alpha, not so keen on alpha things ;) (and don't say mozilla IS still an application in alpha stadium :p)

ah, the (good) ol' days, I remember them :) but it's stupid to begin with a broken implemetation anyway.
