CSS engine

I own CSS but I don't have the disk I bought it from Steam how do I access the engine?

I do however have the disk to Counter-Strike 1.6

Did you activate the game on Steam? If you did, you should be able to see the game in "My Games" you can download it from there.

If you play CS:S, then you have a Steam account yes? You just log onto Steam and reinstall it? I'm not entirely sure what you're asking.

If you are trying to tinker around with the Source engine-- make maps and whatnot, open Steam and click on the Tools tab.

Download Source SDK (Software Development Kit).

Hammer Editor is the map tool.

Faceposer (for lip syncing) and Model Viewer are also available.
