CSS assistance

Hey guys... I'm having some problems while playing around with CSS... I have the site design about 1/2 done, but now I'm designing where I want the main text to go. Whenever I enter text into that area, I get a huge space at the bottom of the text. How can I prevent this, so that it is only as large as the text in the box?

is the design in question. Any help is appreciated!

That source is a mess and it's displaying terribly in Firefox. I can't even see your nav. Are you trying to fix all of this?

What is it supposed to look like? A screenshot from your end would be helpful.

Look at it in IE, it looks like it should, minus the huge space at the bottom of the text...

And yes, I know it looks like crap, etc... which is why I'm making this post... It doesn't look right... in either browser.......... heh.

lol, lawn tractor racing. I shouldn't have bothered. 😉

Thanks jjones...

Thankfully, I'm not a member... 🙂 Just a friend of mine looking to re-do their site, and I wanted to do it with new standards...

Thanks for your help! You're awesome.
