Eh. I like CSI, but the loss of Nick is no big deal IMO. His character was by far the one I cared the least about. The loss of Sara's character will be felt more. Neither of them are irreplaceable though. The original CSI is all about Gil IMO. Now if HE goes then the show is in serious trouble.

Even though I'm kind of burned out on all the NY-based shows I'm also looking forward to the New York series, mostly becaue of Gary Sinese. And I guess I'm one of the few people on here who actually likes both the original AND the Miami series. In fact, I've actually grown to like the Miami series a bit more than the original the last couple years. The supporting cast there is just more interesting to me personally and that show does a better job of incorporating the more 'exotic' nature of the Miami location in comparison to the original which doesn't utilize the Vegas-factor nearly enough IMO.

P.S. Law & Order rulez!

Not really. Ever watch the older Law and Orders? those were good. The new ones have all new cast, the stories keep getting weaker and weaker, etc... It just no where near as good as it use toi be. Then all the other L&O have juts weakened the good one.

CSI was a replacement for the GOOD L&O. And now CBS has ruined that.

William Petersen (Gil) will never leave. He's the executive producer of the show and I think one of the co-creators or co-developers. He was mostly a writer and behind-the-scenes guy before CSI hit the air. It's really his show.

Sucks about George Eads and Jorja Fox. The show's probably gonna degrade into suckage from here.

"their", not "there"

You don't deserve to have a show on the air that you like.

That is all.

Those two get canned is no big deal.

The character Sara Sidle can be fired by CSI because of her alcoholism. Nick Stokes can be transferred to another city since he got a promotion. Greg Sanders (the DNA guy) gets to work on the field since Nick is transferred. Now just bring on a hot CSI chick ok? :D

Bleh CSI. I like Miami better than the regular and I'm actually looking forward to NY because I really like Sinise.
Same here.
I like Miami because David Caruso is the modern-day Jack Lord. In good ol' Hawaii Five-0 Lord would make it clear to the criminals that he'd f%$#ing kill them if they went too far. Caruso's kind of like that in CSI: Miami, except he calmly tells them how he's going to disembowel them first. :D

The only people KILLING CSI are the fvcking actors themselves.

They got too greedy, and now their acting careers will tank because of it.

Ha. Looking forward to NY with Sinise.

CBS signed them to 7 year contracts when the show was not even on the air, and now the show is highly rated all the actors want is a peice of the pie they helped with.
Like when Seinfeld, Cheers, etc... shows did the same thing. You don;t make much when the show first starts but if it gets good then EVERYBODY should get paid for their part.

Now if the actors were smart they would do like "Friends" and ALL get together and stick together. That way it is a take it or leave it all.

This is CBS being gready, period.

I tend to agree. CBS is doing this just because they can.

They were still under contract until 2007 though, they really have no claim to more money (however much they may deserve it). Trying to go on strike mid way through a contract is completely illegal.

Welcome to the US. Contracts only hold true for normal people. Actors and Athletes don't have to abide by the terms of their contracts.

Well after the Raymond fiasco, they arent willing to negotiate with people already under contract.

Sounds like they want her but not the other 2.

Tell CBS to keep CSI... CSI. No loser replacments.

If she refuses to show up for taping she will be canned. CBS will find her in breach of contract and fire her. They have decided to take the gloves off after last season when the cast of Raymond(except Ray Romano) extorted many millions from them, for a fading show.

they probably weren't willing with raymond either (but had to), but it's easier to take the hard stand with a show like csi which is based mostly on plot and story rather than on characters.

OK now more has come out. Even William L. Petersen (Gil, older white guy) did not even show up for the first day of shooting. The only person even show was Gary Dourdan (Warrick, younger black guy).

And also William L. Petersen (Gil, older white guy) is really unhappy wqith how CBS is mutting out the CSI show/s. He has stated that this will be his last year in fact.

So thanks CBS, CSI is now a lame duck, juts like ALL the L&O shows.

TELL CBS WHAT YA THINK ABOUT KILLING CSI :(
