LOL... hey... WTF?!?! The words are so small you can barely read them!!!
Well, my name isn't people, lol. So it's safe to use my name since I was the only one to mention it. Screen shots always look degraded from the real experience or the real game presentations but there are some serious noticeable differences comparing the HL2 screens and CS Source screens.

Other than the blue skies, there is nothing in that image that shows the slightest bit of personality. Where is the blending of colors or textures? I see flat walls with brick lines in them and without the black lines on the walls there is no way to tell if it was a solid wall or stone stacked wall. Compare CS Source walls to far crys:

How about the ground and terrain? Compare the darker brown color terrain to the light green terrain. The edges of the brown terrain almost make it look more like a laid out carpet or even a artifact generated from an over heated GPU. (

Then you have the mountains in the background. I traveled the united states near and far and never saw mountains as pointy and triangulated as those. They almost resemble Final Doom's pre rendered back drops.
No wonder why people can play this game at 200 FPS, there is nothing for the video card to render but muzzle flashes and explosions.
