ok ok..this is my FIRST attempt at making a video like this..i know it looks n00bish and i know the start of the video is a replay about 2 or 3 times and there isnt much shooting in it!

ill be trying to make a good video with more shooting and no replays lol..(and maybe me getting some kills?)

but here you guys go if u wanna see some ingame source action :D

Possibly someone in ATOT will help you out with video hosting. I've had a particular guy in the past host 100+ MB vids for me before for no cost :D.

Hey, great job! This is the first vid I've seen of CS:S in action, and it actually looks better than I imagined. I didn't care much for the repeated instances of video (which it looks like you used it just to fill space), but I see you mention this in your post.

So what progs did you use to capture the video and then edit it? I tried my hand at a UT2K4 vid a few months back, using fraps and Premier Pro. It turned out pretty good I think. :) Great work, can't wait to see more.

Thanks for the video! Some parts looked much better, while others looked like they weren't updated much. The physics looked very nice though!

It could've done without the rap music though, particularly since I would've liked to be able to really hear how the game sounds now.

Nice video. Is it possible for you to make another with the fps showing somewhere on the screen. I am curious as to how well the game's running on your comp. Also, don't put any music or anything, just game sounds. Shouldn't be too hard...

P.S. Also give your system specs.

Well when i record FPS drops a lot!! i never dip under 90 fps! i hit about 170 in areas!

AMD64 3200+
Geforce 6800GT

In all honestly the game resembles Max Payne 2. Might be just a crap level, but I saw better use of textures in Max Payne 2.

the video is three minutes long and only 30mb. It was encoded to reduce size. hence things look like crap. But if you look at screenshots. WOW

This is true. But even comparing the screen shots like the ones seen on gamespot.com all I see is plain colors mixed in with a little lighting. And from the screen shots taken it looks like this game is in dire need of some 4X AA.

One Screen

I think counter strike source looks like a poor implementation from the real game HL2. It still looks leap years ahead from the original Counter Strike and in a sense that's all that game really needed was a little face lift.

Question: Is spraypaint art still in? Can you make your own custom color ones like I used to do? Oh boy, funny times.
