my $0.02
some people have a knack for these things. in UT, i can get a headshot from very far away with an enforcer(when the headshot mod is on) and i don't cheat. i'm just accurate and i have played it enough i know how to get the kill. give me a sniper rifel and i won't even come close to their head 😛 some people have a skill with one weapon, and one manuever, maybe fir3 is just really good at jumping with the mp5? besides, when it comes to accuracy, you can sometimes guess where the computer will decide to put the bullet and counter for it. i could do that in rainboq six often enough, so why can't it happen in CS? and i'm not supporting or accusing anyone(as i have no place to do so) just giving some food for thought 🙂
 
hehe. Maybe it's time you guys switch to UT. Toph99 I hope I run into you someday in UT CTF. I'm always on the look out for Anandtechers when playing UT CTF since I just got back into it.
 
lol, i was just playing at ut.thegamebox.net, and mechBgone completely murdered me 😛 shame the 'allow headshot for minigun and enforcer' wasn't on, i didn't have a chance 😛 i got by either 'chris' or 'toph99' when i play. i despise CFT 😛 Last Man Standing is so much more interesting 😉
 
I love the sniper rifle on UT. I love all those headshots. It's pretty easy really. Just shoot the little pixel that's representing the guy's head. 🙂

I'm not vey good at UT, but I'll play if couple of U guys play it. 🙂

anyway, i think everyone should kick back and just play.

maybe we can get that anti-cheating server thingie up so everything can be fair.

i'll be the first to say that i'm not the best, but not the worst either. and when i get my ass kicked, i don't whine about it or get all bitchy either.

hell, if those people say that they aren't cheating then i believe them.

but for anyone that cheats -- what is the fun of that? isn't it more fun to frag and realize that you don't need some lame cheat or bot to do it?

so let's all just kick back and play some CS....
 
I've had the game for about a month, and I still suck a lot of ass. While I am better than say, IB(No offense), there are guys like Pretender that rip me a new one every time I go against 'em. But when I do get 'em, (like earlier when I killed autobot with a TMP) I feel damn good.

You've killed me quite a number of times. For some reason, I seem to find you with your back turned quite a bit, might wanna try looking around once in a while 😉). Although, if you're using the TMP, that could also be your problem.... 😛
 
I'll admit it. I suck big time (only been playing 3days). There have been several occasions when 3or more ppl on my team get slaughtered by one person as we attempt to cover each other. I'm getting better though. In fact, i'm gonna go play a little now.
 
I have been playing this since B1, and I've been on Neo's server a cpl times, I don't think that I have seen cheats on the level that I have seen on other servers. but let me say this. I have a Radeon with 80FPS and 50ping. the other day I was something like 15 and 2. I trully do not cheat, I take my bumps when soemone kills me but I am not a newbie at this, I will use all that I have learned over the years to win make no mistake. CS probably already has a patch but won't release it until sometimes in late January or February because of all the HLCS boxes that were sold for xmas they don't want to have users download a patch when playing out of the box. Fixes are on their way (apparently) by Valve and CS, but it will just take a tille time.

I have to admit that I have been playing on Neo's server and I have to say that compared to others it's one of the very few places that I have not seen cheats. It has brought back the fun of camping, ambush and surprise. On other servers I suk bad going 2-20 because of cheats, I was not prepared to go 15-2 or similar. I think I understand those who get accused of cheating but on Neo's with the [AT] it's a matter of honnor and pride. If you have been granted permission to play on this server don't waste it by cheating or being an as-s. Have fun, be aware of newbies and respect all AT teammates. That's all I have to say.
