Hi Guys,
I've recently started playing CS GO, I did used to play 1.6 about 9 or 10 years ago. Any of you guys playing? Any tips/tricks you would like to share?

Do you think a 120hz monitor is absolutely necessary? My friend says it definitely required to play competitively.

I have a 24 inch monitor and have been playing at 1920x1080... but I hear a lot of top players play at 1024 x 768 or even lower resolutions. What do you guys play at?

Are you trying to be hardcore? I personally wouldn't care that much the res / refresh rate... just run around and have fun!

Also the top end players learn the spray patterns of the weapons (although I haven't played GO, might not be as easy to do). You can train muscle movements so your shots mainly go where you want them to even though you are holding down the trigger.

Yeah I need to learn the spray patterns. I have a Logitec Mx518 and steelseries 330 headset, which I'm comfortable with. Just got a new sound card which is helping me with hearing where players are.
