So I have an i5-2500k, 8gb ram, sata hdd, and geforce gtx 650 ti and Creative Sound Blaster ZX.
After playing CS:GO for about 1 hour, especially if i'm playing in a large 32 man Deathmatch server I get bad fps drop/stutter (normally 160+ fps) down to 15-30's. I think it is audio related as the game sometimes freezes for a second when a new sound plays initially such as an awp or deagle. Also in my console I sometimes see this "Error: Total static audio channels have been used: 96" in red multiple times (fills up the console box sometimes) although I'm not sure if it is directly related to my fps drop.
Sometimes the fps is fixed by doing CTRL-ALT-DEL and starting a task manager then alt-tabbing back in to game the fps will be fixed back to 200-300's for a little while then drops back down. What definitely works is putting the computer in sleep mode then reopening up CS:GO and it is like new.
It does this:
