Crytek has revealed details about its first online First-Person Shooter (FPS), Warface, and now released the first official images. The military shooter in its near future setting offers a cinematic experience with ‘next gen’ visuals, AI and physics based on Crytek’s proprietary CryENGINE 3 game development solution.
Warface is promising to provide gamers with a constantly updated extensive player-versus-enemy (PVE) universe full of dramatic multiplayer co-op missions and a full set of class based player-versus-player (PVP). This new Crytek IP is especially dedicated to the Korean and other Asian markets and is co-produced by Crytek Seoul.

Warface will be supported by a free-to-play business model, and will be available exclusively for PC. No details have yet been discussed about the possibility of Warface being available in European or North American markets, but at this point in time it’s looking unlikely. Electronic Theatre will of course keep you updated with all the latest details on Warface, and other forthcoming releases from Cytek.
Korea only? Fail. Sounds like the same thing they did with Counterstrike Online.

free netcode test?

They could make money if upgrades and crap like that work along the lines of microtransactions...

WTF this is for koreans only?
just like the 100 player Battlefiend online? (while we get a 32 player nerfed down version of it)

what makes them more hardcore than us!!!?

They have the proper internet infrastructure to handle it, and we simply don't.

yea i don't think people get the reference and think it sounds too much like 'warfare'.. which in spite of the COD fame.. warfare is a common word.

Very likely.

Even without the reference I think it's a passable name. It's not like it's representing a high art game, so I don't think the title needs to be anything but catchy.

The game itself however, as it's been said, does indeed look just like any of the other big military shooters around right now.
