Half african-american, half-korean? How'd she get big in Japan? I thought that, generally speaking, Japanese society looked down on non-Japanese and especially those that are 'half-breeds'.

She's a pretty decent singer, but the album I have of her has a lot of pseudo hiphop R&B crap..
