Crystal clear gaming monitors for around 200?

Title says it all! I'm looking for a very solid monitor that has, most importantly, an incredible picture. I'll be on it for school, gaming, etc. I'm looking for something around 23 inches and not necessarily going to go with 120hz. My price preference is from 200-300. Thanks guys!

I'm actually in the same boat, I was looking at the Samsung PX2370 but then read some reviews that didn't recommend it for gaming or movies, I'm kinda looking for a multi purpose LED screen.

Take a look at the Asus VH238H, it's got very good reviews, but I don't know how will it perform in general use like regular text, office apps, internet and stuff like that.

Dont want to come off as a monitor snob but if you want a solid monitor get the Dell U2311. It is 20 bucks over your budget but the build quality and stand are much better than any other monitor listed here. The stand is fully adjustable while the others are just a hunk of plastic. Forget about adjusting them up and down.

Every Dell LCD Ive ever bought is still working, a few will be 8 years old this year. Every ASUS, Acer or LG LCD Ive bought in the last 5 years either doesnt work anymore or was RMA'd for a replacement. Maybe Im just unlucky....

The Dell probably uses the same panel as the LG and maybe the ASUS as well but there is more to a monitor than the panel.
