I refuse to support any title EA has it's filthy paws on, but a friend bought Crysis so I thought I'd play at his house. My favorite thing about Far Cry was creepin up to the soldiers and listening to them talk back and forth, some of the shit they said pretty funny. So far Crysis is reminding me of a Far Cry with some uber suit, I had a bit of fun throwing the almost indestructible wooden crates at soldiers and killing them. I tried throwing one in a fire apparently they're made out of fire proof wood. Any ways, I didn't hear any good soldier banter.

is there any in the game at all?
 
None that I noticed, although the Koreans say some funny things when they're shooting at you like "I KILL YOU!"

they say I kill you every line, doesn't seem like there's much verity for a game of this level, and did one Korean do the voices for every soldier? No matter without the humor no need to play this, I'll just wait for F.C. 2

That's seriously the only reason you would play it? Just for those little one line jokes that the other guys said? That seems like a waste of money to me. I missed most of them because the sound on the binoculars rarely worked for me in Far Cry. To each his own I guess.
 
I'm Korean. I knew everything they said. 😛

In the beginning of the game they kind of repeat same thing like "This island is haunted and the people from village are very frightened"

The funniest moment was listening to N. Korean radio.

ya, i know how explosive barrels work, i wasn't born yesterday. What i meant was that there isn't any after the first few little groups of houses. There isn't even any in the village.

I'd say no.

Crysis has a much more serious tone than FarCry. There's just much less humor, dramatically less. However I don't see that being a bad thing, because its context fits its seriousness. On a side note my favorite one-liner in FarCry has always been "I'm gonna tare you a new one !".
 
I played it some more at my friends, what's the big deal? Good graphics and a super power suit, I like the game. But all these reviewers I'm seeing giving it an almost perfect score, have we gotten to a point where graphics make a game this hyped? I'd say 8.0 maybe a bit less, feels just like far cry to me, and the boats are horrible to control I can't even see where the fuck I'm going. The Autosave system is horrible, it save 3 times at points where I was being shot at, so when it reloaded I was instantly hit. They need to fix this in a patch, really annoying to have to load and a tank round hits you regardless what you do 🙂

There will never be a Far Cry 2. When they made the deal to go to EA they lost the right to make another Far Cry.

I just hope the expansion and follow up game don't take another 3 years.
 
haah i remember a part in Far Cry where a soldier goes up to another soldier and starts asking him why his TPS reports werent completed.

No, when they made the deal with EA they couldn't make Far Cry 2, because Ubisoft have the rights for it.
And Ubisoft are making a game with those rights, and they are calling it Far Cry 2.
With no mutants. And no aliens.
