Crysis...

my friend wants to play Crysis, but he wants to get a 7950GT or an 8800GTX. He just wants to know if the game will run at all on either card.
Thanks.

P.S. It will have 2GB RAM and a C2D

You'll need a computer with a special CPU to run their custom engine. It's called a Vapor Processor.

😉

If he wants to run it well, I would go with the 8800GTX, unless he can wait until the game actually comes out and pick up an 8900.

How "well" will an 8800GTX run it?

No one knows the answer to that.

My recommendation is that he wait until it is actually released and benchmarks are posted.

The only thing we do know is that it will be very demanding and will push current hardware to its limits.

Does cold vapor cooling count? 😛

Sounds promising. If it works with vapor it should run Crysis.
