Crysis: Warhead (downloadable version) - $25 & tax at EAStore

Pretty nice discount on a new game. Apparently the graphics engine will be optimized for Warhead so it should run quite well on mid-range systems!

Note, this is a downloadable version (like Steam). You can download it to your hard drive the day it's released.

EA Store downloads blow chunks. I've tried it twice and both times I ended up buying the hard copy of the game

The alternative is getting a preorder through gamestop for $30. $25 is still a great price for a brand spanking new game.

Ive been saying for a while this will be on the bargain shelf before I can afford a video card to play it in its full glory.

Darn right it's a great deal, but not so great when you have to go out and spend another $30 on top of the $25 to get the CD when EA tech support tells you that they can not help you.

Am I the only one here that has trouble with EA downloads?

Newegg has this for preorder also and it's only 27.99 with free shipping and no tax. plus you get a real disc.

Good deal... but lame service. Steam is a much better system.

Plus you don't get a real disk, much better than having to deal with No-Cd cracks, useless packaging, and keeping slips of paper with install codes.
