I never watched LOST when it was new on the air, but I've recently started watching it online and just finished the first season today. So far, I love the show, but with the conclusion of the 24th episode, I drew quite a few notable similarities between the show and Crysis, which debuted 3 years after the show first aired. Mind you I'm only through the first season so I may be leaving some similarities out that happen later in the show. Please don't spoil it for me.
Anyway:
- Deserted island in the South Pacific
- The island feels "weird" and "different" to Nomad and the stranded people from Oceanic flight 815
- The island has seemingly supernatural abilities -- the black fog on LOST and whatever kills Aztec and the KPA soldiers in the jungle
- The "Black Rock" vs Dr. Rosenthal's research ship
- Dr. Rosenthal's research ship vs. Rousso's research ship
- Strange polar/arctic anomalies -- The polar bears in LOST and the ice covering Rosenthal's ship
I'm frankly befuddled by this -- it just seems so obvious now. Either way, I REALLY want to play Crysis again now, but I can't until November. Has anyone else noticed stuff like this?
