Crysis - (PC game) + $10 gift card for $39.99

Circuit City advertised that Crysis (Avail Wed afternoon 11/14) would be $39.99 and you get a $10 gift card that you can use on a different purchase. This is the best deal I have found so far on this game. Please feel free to post other deals you find for this game. I can't wait for this one!

That's a great deal. I would say it differently though. Like "Crysis + $10 gift card for $39.99" I understood after I entered the post, but at first I read it as requiring the purchase of a $10 gift card.

thanks for the suggestion, I changed the title. By the way, you can download a free demo if you want to try the game before you buy. Just google, crysis demo and you will find it.

Ya, just know there is usually a boost in performance in the retail game compared to the demo. Something about the demo not being optimized for multiple cores.

Does Best Buy usually price match Circuit City on these kinds of sales?

I just realized that pre-ordering games is stupid. I picked up Crysis on pre-order over a month ago for the full price. Granted I used a gift card at EB Games, so in reality it didn't actually cost me anything to pre-order, but if it had cost me out of pocket I would be pissed to see others waiting and paying $20 less + getting a gift card for waiting. Valve did this with the OJ Box, although at least pre-ordering that enabled you to enjoy TF2 for months before other people. So why do people pre-order games when they only get screwed for doing so?

Is there an ad link somewhere for this?

I printed the ad from the CC website. There is a Weekly Ad link in the upper left hand corner of their site.

Definitely picking this one up. Played through the demo, and some of the environmental effects are amazing. $40 for this is a steal. Thanks op.

Perfect, i'm buying a zune 2 tomorrow as well... so i guess i'll buy crysis, then turn around and buy the zune 🙂

For the same reason that people stood in line to pay a few hundred extra for an iPhone. "Early adoptor tax." It basically guarantees you're one of the first on the block with it. It tends to make some people happy.

The difference is software/video games never sell out so there is little reason to preorder. It just gives the merchant free interest on your money.

were did you guys see this price/deal?

its in the weekly ad for Circuit City. The ad can be found in last Sundays paper, or online at Weekly Ad
(Its on page 10..lower left hand corner)

today is the day for some Crysis action!

Can anyone confirm that's actually the price? Just looked through the ad posted and it seems like the price is $39.99 BECAUSE OF the gc, not $39.99 AND a gc (so probably $49.99 and you get a gc, making it $39.99.)

ummm..no

its $39.99 with a free $10 gift card..the ** next to the gift card states it must be used on a different transaction..

Online when you search the ad for Crysis, it says 39.99 + $10 gift card* (I saw no definition of the asterisk) in the search results. When you click on the game, it says 49.99 and coming soon.
