Here is the movie: http://www4.tomshardware.com/site/downloads/e32006_crysis_h264_1mbps.zip 720x480 video resolution 48.7MB.
http://www4.tomshardware.com/site/downloads/e32006_crysis_wmv_512kbps.zip low rez 26.3MB

The graphics look amazing. The world looks incredibly realistic, especially the grass and the trees. And then there are great effects: depth of field when you charge your weapon and aim, the shadows add realism; dust, debris, smoke and a great sky with beautiful clouds.

From what I read, the system on which the game was played was equipped with Radeon x1900XT Crossfire graphics cards.

Still some things don't look as they should: the shadows "dance" on the jeep, the way the enemy soldiers on the bridge kick each other when they spot you.

Can't wait to see some more of this game!

WTH it's only a winamp file?? Thats the first time I've ever seen anyone anywhere use that kind of file. .... which is why I havent installed any of the winamp video components (keeps it lean and fast).

Is there another link somewhere with a different file type? (the hi-res)

Wow, awesome video. This game is going to totally rape my 6800GT and leave it for dead...

Edit: I don't know if I was just imagining things, but did anyone else notice that the framerate in the video was choppy in a few places? If they really were running this on dual X1900XT's, then we're all screwed...

I was actually at E3 and saw the game at both the EA and Windows gaming booths. I have to say, the game looks really amazing, even to me. The footage is actual in-game footage, since people were playing it on the spot. A lot of work has been put into that game and I have to say, grats to them for putting something of this quality out and the general public for being able to play such a game.

The demos I saw were very polished without any perceivable bugs. Other FPSes did not fare so well, such as EA's Battlefield 2142 (I think that's the year), which had a lot of z-fighting for their shadow mapping algorithm, which was very noticable since it kept on flickering, and took up like at least 400 pixels on the screen. Other games that looked good/interesting are Assassin's Creed and Lost Planet, to name a few (although the trailer I saw for AC was prerendered).

As for the chppiness, I heard they were forcing DX10 shaders on that CF setup, so if they ran simpler DX9 it wouldn't look as good but also wouldn't be choppy.

Does anyone know what resolution the E3 computers were playing it at?

Guys what's happening? I can hear the sound in Winamp but I can't see the picture in the high res file... I'm trying to see with Gspot if I miss a codec but it says it's an unsupported file. Can anyone help?

The server connection was flaky, I used Getright to auto-resume. PITA but it finished eventually. Perhaps some kind soul would put up a mirror, BT or rapidshare copy of it.

The video was perfectly playable with VLC. It sounded funny on BSPlayer, and crashed my Media Player Classic though. It's using the newer H.264 codec so I guess some of you might have issues with it.

Yeah, I'd really like to know the rig setup too.

The hardware requirements is probably going to be very steep seeing the environment is large, immersive and totally interactive with no fake skyboxes. If this game gives an x1900xt sli the fits now, the rleased version might only need 1 very high end card.
