Very nice. I can't wait, though, for when they can do grass convincingly.

you can do the grass yourself - while waiting. 😛
:Q

😀

and Crysis had better run on a 9800p . . . 😉

i expect todays top cards to play it very well [or they will commit financial suicide

edit: . . . and Hawaii is [waay] Overrated. 😛

[unless you re a surfer] 😉

dual x1900's couldn't even give it a steady 60fps.

The game's for Vista and DX10 cards.

this game is ready for those additional 300W power supplies just for the GPU.

Does that mean 2 of those special psus if you're doing SLI?

You're going to need SO many video cards to play that. Dodecahedral Sli I think. With dual GPU cards.

Definately 😉

I think the first 8 series video card will be able to do the job, the name is probobly going to be the 8800GTX right?

To run it bare minimum, probably a 9800 Pro/6600GT level card. Medium would probably be my card level. High would probably be X1900XTXs/SLI/Crossfire, Maximum would probably not be possible with what you can buy today.

I'd be like F.E.A.R. the manual for that game said something like: "Running F.E.A.R. @ higher than 1024 by 768 is highly not recommended with modern graphics cards". Meaning we might have to wait until something better comes out, quad SLI might have a shot.

I wonder if they are actual game or marketing renders used to showcase the technology. I'm thinking the latter.

OK so maybe 24 cards was a bit much.

Given how nicely Far Cry runs, I'm cautiously optimistic that it might just be do-able on current highest end cards. Just. At 1280x1024. Just.

I was just on their site and I read the system requirments, the site is down now, this is what I remember from it:
Requirements:
CPU😛entium 5xx or AMD 64 3000 or better
RAM: 1 GB of RAM
GPU: I don't remember this one.
Recommended:
CPU: Dual Core X2 or Pentium D
RAM: 1.5GB or better
GPU: 7800GTX or better/DX10 level graphics card

yes the grass is no good, all else excellent. I wonder if you need like a 2000 buck machine to just run it right or a 500 dollar setup like mine can attemp it even. sigh, always mo money required ... 🙁

if you shop around, you can ALWAYS get a capable budget rig. check out mine (in sig) - it's not the best by any means, but it would cost total (monitor included) roughly $700 and it plays games fairly well!
