Crysis 2 PC Visuals

The top right corner of that picture says that the game is running in "HighSpec". Perhaps this game will be like Crysis 1 where you needed to run it in DX10 to unlock Very High settings. I'll judge the graphics of Crysis 2 when I see it in person running on a high end system.
 
Can't say it looks impressive in the least. Then again, it's a beta. Hopefully the final product will deliver.
 
The first one wasn't very long, I think about 6-8 hours of gameplay. If this will be the same I'll be disappointed, regardless of how it looks.
 
A GTX580 should be future proof for many years, but sadly, instead of game developers taking more time or hiring more developers to optimize their games engine/libraries, they leave them at a reasonable state in which you end up having to update from a powerful gpu to a 10-20% more powerful gpu for a slighter better benefit? and for what?!
