Calling shens. Power kicking a car depletes ALL of your energy, so he wouldn't have been cloaked anymore. If he remained undetected then the enemies obviously weren't very close to him or the cars.

For someone who clearly hates the game you sure watch your "friend" play it a lot.

It was on the bridge part where it's dusty, he was behind them and they were walking, he kicked the car while still behind them, he was invisible until they walked by him. Since you called me a liar I'll tell him to frap video of it and upload it to youtube. Would that make you feel better? He was no more than the cars length away from them.

Finally beat the game. Without spoiling anything, I thought the last level was pretty damn epic and climatic. The shootouts in Grand Central was pretty amazing also...not exactly sure what else you're expecting.

Now that I've beaten the game, I'll have to say that overall, the story is one of the better I've seen in an FPS in a very long time. The plot does have some quirky holes, but nothing worse than a typical summer blockbuster movie, and the ending was pretty good, hinting at sequels, but in a nice expected way.

I do agree that there were some parts where the AI bugs out, but those were far in between for me, and the majority of the shootouts were quite intense. Overall a very enjoyable game.

maybe it was because i finished the central park without engaging any of the cephs. i stealthed my way to the objectives and there was zero action.

So you're complaining that there's no action but you CHOSE to stealth through the mission, as the game gives you different options to approach a situation. Last I heard, I thought we're suppose to complain about how linear gameplay sucks, not when it's open-ended.

what's the verdict on the multiplayer? what game is it comparable to?

It is very similar to Call of Duty. As of right now, I still think COD is more fun, but you can obviously see that Crytek borrowed a lot from the COD games. The gun recoil, speed and overall mechanic are very similar.

A lot of the frills are borrowed from CoD, but it plays quite a bit slower IMO. Plus the maps are more open and obviously more vertical given your jump height. It still has the same leveling up and unlocking mechanics of CoD as well as upgrades (perks) and killstreaks. It plays differently enough to not feel like a direct clone, but it's definitely not original.

had i known that was the last level, i would have played it differently i guess. its just there were so many that i took the easy way out.

Well I'm a few hours in on the campaign. Hadn't played for a week or so. It's pretty cool but I keep hearing it gets better soon. I'm kind of getting sick of the weapons available. I use the Feline and SCARAB. I tried the Marshall but it seems way too weak. Unless you're right up on a CELL guy, it takes two shots. I like the assault scope on the SCAR but not if I can't use a silencer, and they share ammo so I don't want to use the SCAR and the SCARAB.

Of course, I'm still having a lot of trouble staying stealth when taking down checkpoints and such. In Crysis/Warhead, I could take down huge bases without alerting anyone. With Crysis 2 I always seem to attract attention right away. So maybe I should dump the SCARAB if the silenced way isn't working.

I tried out MP for the first time with the full version. I had to again enter my cdkey and redeem my bonus code, but hopefully that's the last time and it's fixed. Anyway, I got OWNED. Probably the worst game in a while. I just couldn't do anything. In the demo I had like a 1.75 K/D ratio. In that game, I was 2 and 11... seriously horrible.

Nanosuit upgrades make huge differences in multiplayer. Mobility enhance literally changes the way you play the game, as you will be able to pretty much sprint and jump forever with it. Getting mobility enhance and energy transfer greatly increased my k/d ratio and win percentage. Stealth enhance and cloak tracker are also extremely useful depending on whether you want to stealth or kill those in stealth.

This is Crytek's idea of anti-cheat:

http://www.mycrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=19146

what does all this mean? well if you get this many headshots you get a flag at 25, at 50 you get a 1 hour ban the sadest part is all these settings can be changed and saved, and there is nothing to check if this file has been modded, way to go crytek

What a joke. If anyone remembers the original Crysis multiplayer, Crytek's efforts to stop hackers was similarly pathetic. All you had to do was edit your config and you'd be doing all sorts of crazy stuff.

Got Crysis 2 and got it running on my 3d tv with a little bit of editing of the configs.

Pretty amazing in 3d. Might not be as revolutionary as Avatar was in 3d, but it is still damn amazing in 3d. No lag or frame rate slow down at all. And the 3d is pretty good.

It adds depth to the screen. Makes the tv look like a window into another world.

Should hopefully get even better once the game gets over the boring intro part and the real fun starts.

BTW played for about 2 hours with just a slight headache. 3d movies don't bother me, but for some reason the games do, bummer.

Ahhh. I already spent my module unlocks but I'll have to check them out next.

Man I'm still getting wrecked. I played a few more rounds and I think the best I managed was 3 and 3. Mostly like 3/10. I don't know what's up I just am not accurate while everyone else cuts me down quick.

Also they seemed to have nerfed nanovision? I used it quite often before. Some said it was overpowered but so many people are running around in stealth, I think it's key for balance to have a way to see them.

I played a couple rounds of Black Ops after and I sucked hard there too. I did move and am now on wireless but I doubt that really is it as I'm quite close to the router with a decent wireless N card. Probably just a coincidence, but man it sucks getting wrecked in everything!

I played second-hardest difficulty and it was quite easy. Stealth-Killed most of the units.

Melee is unfairly too powerful, just armor mode and charge.

Nano-module count is broken (sometimes it collects, sometimes it just sits at zero).... but the basic ones are good enough and I don't need the 2nd or 3rd level.

the game actually got a bit boring in the middle, tired of picking off CELL guys. I stick with SCARAB and a Sniper the whole time until the end where i need more firepower to take care the aliens.

Lost interest in the story. It seems like they tried too hard; Crysis can't beat Half Life 2 in the "post apocalyptic big brother" department.

However, Crysis2 is still very enjoyable. It is very pretty to look at, and oddly less-demanding than the first Crysis (still running the same nvidia 9600 and never choke, on Very High details and 1024x768).

The thing I noticed is that as people are leveling up, and more people are using custom classes, some of the things that needed to be nerfed are nerfed naturally... The basics become less effective as you play people with more customized nano suits.
