I don't think there has ever been a new game release that was highly anticipated where many PC gamers on a forum didn't whine about how it is the worst game ever for one reason or another.

expectations were high. Crytek promised that consoles would not impact the pc version and clearly that wasn't true. "press start" and "adjust your tv" alone being in the shipping game shows little attention to detail was given to the pc version. and how hard would it have been to have at least the highest preset offer better textures and foliage?

Yeah it's funny how apparently the textures are bad. I don't think I hear of many games where there isn't at least some forum posts and screenshots of low resolution or just bad textures. And yes it's hilarious that seems some people are just mad that Crysis 2 doesn't really work their $500 video card. Wah. I think some of those kinds of people spend a lot of money on a rig just to run benchmarks all day. And if it did really push them, like Crysis did, it would be described as a "horribly inefficient console port" instead of just a "console port".

Anyway I'm going to try out this config. I don't have any interest tweaking the cfg with all these settings I know nothing about, but there's a few things I can do like turn off the motion blur. It actually removes it? Because in the demo and before this program, people were adding "r_motionBlur 0" but it didn't actually do anything.

The 1.5 release does remove motion blur(the first two release didn't). Being able to control the amount of HDR and Bloom really helps too.

Yeah I tried it. Seems all it does is use the same command (r_motionblur=0) but in the autoexec.cfg. Apparently that makes it work. Not a big deal but I do like it off so that config tool is nice to tweak a couple of settings.
