Cryptocoin Mining?

Too busy these days, can't keep track of all the new coins... missed out badly with AUR. 🙁

Back to mining on Middlecoin (no time to chase profitable altcoins of the day).

Same here, I've switched over to clevermining and averaging about 0.01 payout per day which is more than I would have had with middlecoin. YMMV.

It's not over yet. I'd say it's pretty safe to jump on it still.

Edit: It's gone up another $13 (18.5%) since I first mentioned it tonight.

Took your advice, I threw 2BTC at it, but no time to sit around and watch the market day trading though, so I'll check back before the Airdrop for more news on how the devs plan to implement it in a secure manner.

Why is it that every coin I touch, it dies? FML

Edit: DOGE is tanking hard... What happened?!

If AuroraCoin is so damn popular, why haven't all of you been throwing hashes at http://aur.poolminewith.us for the last few days?

Seriously people, the difficulty just keeps going up right along with the value.

Are you sure the pool is working correctly? Reason asking is diff shown vs what cgminer shows.

Guess I'll try and help out the 1 poor sole already mining it and see if we can get extremely lucky and find a block or two....Not looking too good.

I'll give it a shot till I get home from work tonight I guess. Maybe by then somebody else will throw some hashes it's way.

Guessing that 1 poor sole won't be so poor if a block is found looking at the shares....Hmm

I know jack about Iceland and I'd love to visit, however, what's the word on the street there? This is a country of ~350K people, it could very well be that aurora coin will tank and tank hard on the drop day.

This 1 poor sole would appreciate it! 😀

Guys checkout

www.scryptguild.com

Been there for two days & got nothing but good things to say about it.

Just the auto conversion fee is a little bit high, thats it.

Better than Waffle in my opinion.

Clevermining and wafflepool are leading the way with transparency, so you know what their returns are and how they are doing because they literally publicize their earning rate. There is no surprise. Middlecoin still doesn't do this, no idea why, but it's kind of disheartening that they are so secretive compared to their competitors clevermining and wafflepool.

But I don't see any public numbers for scryptguild, do you know how much you've earned on average?

For example, how many BTC per day for every 1 MH/s you devote to mining on their site?

I didn't set coin targets and a few other settings because they weren't available when I originally set up the pool. But looking at the available block explorers for the current block, everything appears correct. Difficulty and block numbers ARE indeed accurate. Just some of the numbers are off because of the wrong target numbers on the back end. That won't make any difference to actual mining - just the estimated numbers.

Edit: Should be fixed now, had to look at the AuroraCoin code to figure everything out. :|

Clevermining and wafflepool are pretty comparable, though CleverMining has a nicer website and nicer stats. I prefer the openness of each of them so I leave my rigs on either of the two when not chasing the new coin of the week (or day).

I am not mining at 1 Mh/s or I would give you my data.

This is a thread created on HardForum about this pool where some other people using this pool have shared there experience.

http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1809284

Apparantely this pool is created by the same guy who runs Btcguild, which is one of the top 3 Bitcoin mining pools for last 3 years.

I am not sure how BTC per day 1 Mh/s hasrate is earning there and I am not sure where to look for it.
The creator did say that the current payouts are relatively a bit less because there is not enough Gh/s on the pool right now.

Currently the pool is around 3 Gh/s but apparently around 10 Gh/s should improve the earnings.

Edit :-

My final advice is to throw a few Mh/s there for a day and see for your self.
I am relatively new in the mining game so dont really know the complete nitty gritty of how these thi gs work.

But I am liking what I see in the past 2 days.

After 20 hours of mining on fast-pool, I got less than 1k doge with 800kH/s 🙄

Note to others... stay away from fast-pool unless you like mining for a criminal cause.

Using Waffles here, but yeah same. Keeping track of all the new coins is almost a job in itself.

24 hours on Waffle @ 25 MH/s = 0.12 BTC
24 hours on Dogehouse @ 25 MH/s = 115200 DOGE = 0.182 BTC

I'll take the mild inconvenience of exchanging from DOGE to BTC for that kind of an efficiency bump.

According to their pool, in the last 24 hours they hit 56 blocks for a total of 11871284.024234 dogecoins. Their current pool hashrate is on the order of 8GH/s, of which you comprise 800KH/s, or approximately 1/10000 of the entire pool. Given they run PROP payouts, 1/10000 of the entire pool hash rate for the total amount over 24 hours equals approximately 1187.12 dogecoins. You also said you mined for 20 hours, not 24 hours, so that would be approximately 5/6 of that amount, which should yield roughly 989 dogecoins in that timespan.

These calculations also do NOT take into account any fluctuations for pool hashrates, difficulty and luck during that time period, and the payout also takes into account that dogecoin has a random VARIABLE block reward.

In other words, at 800KH/s, for what the pool hit, you are pretty much bang on for your payout.

What was it you're bitching about again? 🙄

You're making almost exactly what you should be given your low hash rate...

With the diff of Aurora, I'm not sure there is much point in mining it. I'm looking at a pool that has a hashrate of 1Gh/s and they haven't solved a block since yesterday.
