I could see it happening. Today, it went up briefly to 100 satoshi. Right now I'm playing with it. Buying at 73-76 satoshi and selling for 80 satoshi.

Edit: started at 0.007 BTC, now at 0.01 BTC, just from trading 🙂

I've been trading at Cryptorush. I get timedout only when it hits 100 satoshi.

Other than that, its okay. Also depends where you live. Ping the site and see what you get, I got like less that 100ms.

Just bought 447,256.4866 PANDA for .3814715 BTC. That's equal to around 85 satoshi. Let's see how well they do by tomorrow!

280X's ARE 7970's, overvolted and overclocked. That's why they run hot out of the box. There's nothing different between them and a 7970 other than a rebrand and clock speeds.

85? That's pretty midrange. I would have waiting till high 70s, low 80s. Then I would have sold them around 100.

I'm an amateur trader now. I can trade the books and crap. This is actually really interesting :thumbsup:

But they mine just fine when undervolted, since scrypt is more dependent on memory (and memory speeds being in tune with core speeds) than pure core powah. I ended up undervolting my XFX in order to get it to run stable 690MH/s... at stock voltages it would ramp down after a few minutes. Running at 78C in a closed, not terribly well ventilated case. Apparently 690 or so is about the best that people can get out of this card. I guess XFX wimped out on the voltage regulators or something, and that's what overheats?

In any case, I'm still mining DOGE and I actually haven't noticed too much of a dropoff in production. Probably just Dogehouse getting lucky. I am going to try to get MAX going this weekend, but not sure if I'll have the time, and I've got to leave the rig running without intervention all week while I'm on the road. (Can get the wife to reboot if necessary, but not much more.) If I don't figure out MAX then I will just switch to Multipool.

Ya I was kind of scared because the market price was fluctuating so much. Sometimes going up, sometimes going down. If there was more news to why they fluctuate like how stock markets have press releases and all that jazz my life would've been easier.
 
Pretty common. More than half of exchanges shut down, fail, or flee with peoples' money at some point.

Which is precisely why you don't keep any cryptos stored on an exchange.

This kind of thing is an obstacle in getting Bitcoin to be respected as any kind of mature item.

Now that doesn't mean that a lot of smart people weren't able to cash in on the craze and make mad profit while the getting was good. Smart people like that probably continually convert out of it at highs 😉

That said, I wouldn't want to be the people who just ordered a bunch of $900 290X cards, or bought in at $600+, lol.

I honestly wonder if Bitcoin has another bounce left in it, or if the reputation hit is so vast that it won't recover ever to the full extent. I also wonder, and almost feel it predictable, that the speculators/investors who want to gamble on such things will (or have) move away from the volatility of Bitcoin to emerging coins. A de-coupling of Bitcoin from future coins would go a long way towards keeping the movement alive, otherwise if Bitcoin dies, they all die by association (not taken seriously by the business community, or worse : seen as a criminal enterprise by the Western governmental powers).
 
In answer to the above: We've seen far worse several times already. Gox is just going to be a blip in the radar.

There is simply too much money invested in ASICs and Bitcoin infrastructure for it go down too much. We're talking hundreds of millions or maybe even billions in hardware alone.
 
Pandacoin sucks for late miners like myself. Only 800 now and about 500 of that confirmed. Fooey, I'll take my chances on something else...

I'm up to 4 cards now.

2 on the PCI-E 16x slots (slots 2 and 7) and 2 on PCI-E 1x risers. So far so good, I love the new board.

It's bvasically a clone of DOGE. Allegedly, with a bit of a cult following in China (whether that's true or not, I've no idea); it could just be "Wolong" ramping the coin to dump his premine.

It's possible it could get to 200, after all DOGE did, and that really didn't get all that much interest from China.

Serious talk now: is so good that bitcoin craze is ending, IMO it was always a illusionary(to most of miners) form of to gain money where the only ones that gain little benefit with this is miners that reside on places where energy cost is low ow miners that have made stellar investments on the bitcoin craze.

Crypto craze is not ending. If anything, it's growing even more (network hash rate across coins continues to grow)...
 
A reminder to please back up your wallets. I did that for every one except Panda, and of course now it says my Panda wallet.dat is corrupt and recovery failed... bye bye 150,000 Panda.
