Crybaby Award

While I don't believe in the excessive promotion of self-esteem at all costs, I think this was out of line.

Heh.. I was going to post this.

I live 30 minutes from Pleasantville. IMO the coaches should be punished.

punished? sure he should be fired.

while i agree that promoting self-esteem at all cost is silly. Going out of his way to not only make fun of but to humiliate a kid is way over the line.

He has proven he is not able to handle the job.

Gag awards are one thing, but this is over the top.

yeah i was in a golfing tournament and i received the "horse's ass award" for being in last place :disgust:

But this is not a gag award. This was planned out to embarrassed the kid.

that's pretty funny. I can't believe the coach had the balls to do that. That's just too wrong.

I applaud him for it. the kid was a whiner, he got what he deserved.

Thou i think they should have awards like this for pro athelets too, it should be called the whiney little bitch award. You give it to players that whine that the 2+ million dollars a year they make isn't enough.

Kinda funny, but pretty inappropriate for a couch to do it. I can't help but chuckle that the dad said his son looked like he was about to cry, but a lot of kids naturally would in that situation.
