CRX, does it have a backseat or not?

I have been running all over the web searching fro an answer, but i can't seem to find it. Some places says yes, but tohers say no. I found a good deal for a 1990 Honda CRX, but I was unsure from some of the stuff I read if it does indeed have a backseat. I mainly only need it for holding a carseat, but it will on occasion have an adult in it, but even then both me and my girlfriend are short. So as long as it has one, it should be okay. But I will check it out for myself to be sure, if I get confirmation, thanks

CRX's do not have backseats. My good friend drives one. I know this for a fact. PS I do not find my grandma attractive in any way whatsoever.

How can a car not have back seats? I mean I can understand some of the smaller roadsters and stuff, but huh?

I've never heard that a CRX doesen't have back seats.

Just look at the car in person, that's the easiest way to tell .. :p

The crx is a hatchback, with no backseat. It is a relatively small car and instead of a backseat, it has a space that's used like a trunk.

North American CRX's do not have backseats...

Some CRX's in Japan do though... and there are people on the internet who have put backseats in their CRX's...

They don't have a 'real' backseat, but they do have a shelf-type thing that you can sit on. No seat belts or anything so I guess it would be illegal.

I can think of a lot of reasons to get a CRX. It has a lot more performance that you would think, fun to drive, is great on gas, Honda reliability, goes anywhere, parks in spots that can barely fit a Schwinn, cheap to insure, nobody wants to steal one. It's the ultimate beater car that you can pick up for next to nothing, drive it for a few years without putting much money into it and then essentially throw it away. I had one for about 2 years, they're a blast. 20 more horsepower and bigger tires and the thing would be a real animal.

BTW, no back seat, but you can fit 2 people in the hatch in a pinch. Trust me, had 4 people in mine more times than I can count. But not recommended for long trips.

Weird. I've never looked at or researched CRX's, so it just seemed weird to me.

If you intend to transport your kid in the CRX, I wouldn't do it. Find another car for that. Its not safe for a baby, should anything occur.

If you want backseats, you can just get a 4th or 5th gen civic hatchback... the 4th gen is basically a CRX with backseats...

The US CRX was a light two seater hatch back. Why buy one? Well if you put a VTEC engine in one.....

The reason I don't go with a 4th gen civic HB, is because I absolutely hate the look of civic hatchbacks, they look like shrunken station wagons

The back 'area' as has been posted has a lid over a storage area. It won't hold an adult (it will bend), and certain isn't safe/legal for mounting of a childseat.

Sorry,
Bill

p.s. It's a shame people like Crappopotamus exist ;)
