i have been running my p4 1.6@2.1 rig for some time without any problems. I have a p4b533 mother board and an antec 300wat power supply. I have the 20 pin atxpower connector plugged into the mb but not the 4 pin 12V power plug. Should i plug that in right away? Just looking through my mb manual and it says to do so to provide sufficient power to the cpu. I havent had anyproblems and nuthing even related to power.

I use asus probe to monitor stuff and this is what the voltage is at currently(idle)...
+12v @12.032
+5v @5.053
+3.3v @3.344
vcore 1.568

i have my thresholds at 10 %

one more thing, in asus probe the lines on the graph for the hardware monitor are straight except the +12v line dips down a bit (aprox 0.1) every now and then

would the 12v reading change under higher stress like games and bechmarks?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated 🙂
