Hello, and thanks in advance for your help.

I installed t a Crucial MX 100 in two R500 Thinkpads.

In both laptops Windows 7 works perfectly, but I am told by the computer that there are "No Available Networks." Not that I cannot connect; it does not see any at all.

The strange thing is that the SSD worked perfectly and easily found my home network when it was in a previous laptop, a Thinkpad T500. :hmm:

Your fix it thoughts? Many thanks.

Did you move an existing Win7 installation on the SSD between the T500 and the R500? The installation may not have the wireless drivers installed for the second laptop.

Larry, can you say more about the drivers? I do not quite understand.

I did have the same Windows install moved from T500 to R500. I simply took out the SSD and dropped it in the R500.

Thanks!

Drivers... you know, the bit of low-level software that allows the OS (Windows 7) to communicate with and utilize the hardware (the wifi card).

If you go to the laptop mfg's web site, they should have drivers that you can download for all of the hardware in the laptop that isn't supported out-of-the-box by the OS.
