Hello, I going to buy a stick of 256MB DDR from Crucial. Just one question -- What is the difference between this stick:

256MB DDR PC2100 ? CL=2.5 ? Unbuffered ? Non-parity ? 2.5V ? 32Meg x 64

and this one:

256MB DDR PC2100 ? CL=2.5 ? Unbuffered ? ECC ? 2.5V ? 32Meg x 72

Is the ECC 32Meg x 72 better than the other one (it's only $2 more), or is one of them not the kind I'm looking for? I'm getting a 1.33 GHz Athlon with the Epox 8K7A mobo (if Newegg ever gets them in).

Thanks,

The one with ECC has Error Checking and Correction. Its mainly a server thing. I think it also has a small performance hit. In any event, it is usually more expensive, so go with the Non-parity
