I'm not 100% sure but I believe this exact HDD was on Newegg for $239.99 earlier today. I was comparing it with the one Microcenter had and the MC one was $229. So I believe they dropped the price to $199 just within the last few hours.

I have heard about ssds performing poor as you start to fill them up and I believe toggle nand drives are the best at maintaining their performance, that is why i have not bought an SSD yet still waiting for the chronos deluxe or sandisk extreme to hit $200
