I got mine already, arrived fast, and it now sits in my computer very nice. My only mistake was that I ordered the 256 one. I should've gone with the 510 one.

Just got my 128mb pc100 stick, popped it in.. (smiles all around!)

Thanks to AnandTech "hot Deals" Forum for the info, also thinking of jumping in on the TDK 12x10x32 burner at buy.com :D

Pity it sat in UPS's deliver center for 2 days over the weekend... That'll teach me to take advantage of 2nd day air for free!!!

Studies show a 20% increase in performance between 128-256 mb of ram and only about 5-7% between 256 and 512mb of ram. I think you need NT to address more than 512 anyway.

i doubt that there is a 20% increase, even in w2k, unless somehow you are working with massive files larger than 128MB in an app. I doubt anyone here ever tried opening a 128MB psd file, not just for the hell of it.

A trickle of games out now or coming out really do run better with 256 MB of ram. B-17 II comes to mind. That's enough incentive for me to upgrade now, especially given today's low prices.

The price on the 256 meg CAS 2 stick is now down to $135.99! I just ordered one. I'm just starting to put together a new system and prices like this are going to help. I was planning on using CAS 3 but the price difference between the two is less than nine bucks!:Q:)

dafatha00: I doubt it is the memory... try benchmarking the memory with something like Sandra's SIMM, DIMM & RIMM SPD EEPROM Analyser to determine the actual specs of your memory...

I am sure it is probably some other factor of your system... what chipset you using? mobo? It is possible that it is the memory, but I higly doubt it... this mem is rated cas2 and I have seen excellent performace from it while running at 133 2,2,2 @ 1000MHz...

If there are any problems with your RAM or you just change your mind Crucial offers a 30 day money back guarantee. In fact, today, I got them to drop the price $15.30 over what I paid Saturday (although that is not usual - usually you have to RMA).

It could be your motherboard problem,
my Epox 8kta2 at first can't run the memory at 133,
after bios update, it can.

ANybody getting very slow memory benchmark witht he new memory? I was getting 400/400 before on a bf6. It dropped to ~ 200/230 after I installed the new memory. I am using sisoft sandra 2001.

Edit/ I was wrong, I didn't have the optimized bios setting.
