So little boy, why don't you work up enough courage to call the toll-free Crucial support line to get smart? You can even make the call from a public pay phone!

I purchased 2 of these kits recently (last week) and both have been working well in my Asus P5K Premium.

No booting issues, no problems whatsoever.

I just did an online chat with Crucial. I asked if the Ballistix PC2-6400 still uses D9 chips. They said : We cannot guarantee that they will have D9 chips, however most do ship with those chips"

serpentroyal, i'm not disputing that they may not use d9's in their ballistix memory. actually, i know this for a fact. they use several types of micron chips, but all chips in their ballistix memory are micron.

you continue posting retarded bullshit slated against crucial and corsair, that just doesnt end. While i agree Kingston is good memory, so are crucial and corsair. your neverending bullshit crusade however is almost to the point of tarnishing kingston. shut up.

Hmmm....I recommended the HP/Crucial $9/GB RAM. You're the clown posting BS info! Provide a post where I said that Corsair RAMs are no good. All non JEDEC 1.8V DDR2 667 and 800 RAMs are suspect. That applies to Kingston, Crucial, and Corsair.

Yeah...I say that your full of BS. Let's see see some links to support your case.

I call them like I see them. I've seen Crucial Bs without D9 and some of these don't POST at 1.8V JEDEC. Low RAM price will continue to force Micron to cut corners to avoid getting deeper in the red.

Don't the Crucial Ballistix have the heat spreaders that pop off real easy so one could look and see which chips are there?

There are two clips, but you may need to use force when removing the yellow heat sink. I always pop out the heat sink and use active cooling with 80mm or 92mm fan. That's the most effective way to cool the ICs.
