Wish I could say the same. Hafta kinda laugh at "Ballistix" 6400.....like thats a phat speed, LOL.

Anyhow, I saw some new Ballistix that had blue spreaders....like they know to create a new look or whatever.

I still think this is a good deal though. Even "Ballistix" should be ok at 6400. Plus, at $5 a GB, you can't go wrong.

Bump for OP .

Hey guys, I got in on the prior deal with free shipping about a month ago. Does anyone know if I would qualify for this rebate again? I don't want to end up paying $55 for a set because I submitted the previous rebate and can't get this one...

I looked at the rebate eligibility very closely cause I was going to get a second set also.

You're definately good to go.

Awesome, thanks!

1 more question: I'm running 2 sticks at 4-4-4-12 at 1.8v on my DS3L fine (been on for weeks, doesn't crash ever). If I throw in 2 more sticks, would I be able to stay stable on 1.8v or do I need to up the juice? I'd rather stay at 1.8v if at all possible...

You just might have to bump the the voltage a notch on the vdimm and perhaps on the northbridge, but on the vdimm itself, that's if even needed, probably just a .1v bump.

I just barely resisted before the free shipping. I totally failed to resist it this time. Guess my HTPC gets way more ram than it needs.

The burnout ballistix were the d9gmh variety that overclocked amazingly well. These are the new high density d9's that dont overclock as well, but dont burnout!

How can I tell if I have the d9gmh in my rig now? Currently running 4x1GB Ballistix 6400 @ 2.2v..

If the specified voltage is 2.2v then you probably have the "burnouts". I had to rma all 4 2.2v sticks of my 1gb ballastix after about 1 year. Crucial's customer service is great though. They sent me the new 2.0v revisions in less than a week. As stated earlier they do not overclock nearly as well.

Are these the "burnout Ballistix" or the "better Ballistix?" 😛

I recently just rma'ed two burn-out Ballies (with LED) sticks.
Good thing I had 4 sticks otherwise I'd have been w/o my rig for two weeks.
