Samsung MV-3V4G3D-US_DDR3 - If you can find it.

I idle this ram a 1866Mhz/1.5v 9-9-9-24 1T, I'm sure it will do 2133Mhz at the same Voltage. I would not be surprised if I could get 1866 Mhz 9-9-9-24-1T at 1.35 volts with this ram but I don't care as it simply blows the doors of all other sticks.

I paid $96 for 16GB's, that is 4 x's 4G sticks, of it from NewEgg CA a few months ago - Yes I was LUCKY ;o)

The cheaper set is usually the right choice at any given specification (MHz, latency). There are occasional "must buy" RAM like the now discontinued Samsung low voltage stuff, but other than that RAM is a commodity.

Ballistix Tactical 8-8-8-24 1.35v. That's interesting. 1 or 2 T & what MHz's?

From what I gather NASA, NSA, CISIS, InterPol, MI-2 and Zion bought all that Samsung MV-3V4G3D-US_DDR3 up; even Vladimir Putin got some of it.

Gad! I hope we are not being tapped - LOL

After all what was it rated at: JEDEC #3 609Mhz, 8-8-8-22 30 1.28v. Easy 7-7-7-18 1T 1333 Mhz 1.28v's. I've yet to see DDR3 this FAST and the sticks can take 1.65v - OH MY!

As I've said I cruse at 9-9-9-24-1T 1/5v 1866Mhz with it and blows all AIDA64 Extreme Edition Memory Benchmarks off the wall.

Not even a Core i7 3960K Extreme on a Saber Tooth Z77 comes close to my i7 2700K/P8Z68-V Pro Gen3 with the Samsung MV-3V4G3D-US_DDR3 in Memory Benching.

Cas 8 IT not too shabby - What Mhz?

I can do Cas 8-24 1T/1866Mhz with 1.5v but I choose Cas 9 for easy cursing.

How about Cas 9-24 IT at 1.35v @ 1866 Mhz's or 9-9-9-24 1T with 1.5v @ 2133 Mhz's and pass 24 hrs of MemTest x86.

Care to post your AIDA64 Extreme Edition [86] memory reports - I will ;o)

At 1600 Mhz Samsung MV-3V4G3D-US_DDR3 at 1.35v can do 7-7-7-18 1T.

It's the fastest DDR3 I've ever encountered - The only problem is that you can't buy it any more.

If you see it on e-Bay today, sellers want over $100 for a 4GB stick, which they only came single or dual Pkgs of 4 Gb sticks x' 2 = 8 Gb's for approx $35 when I bought 16GB for $96 delivered. (LUCKY-LUCKY). With enough sticks can be used in Dual, Triple and Quad Channels. They are so accurate they do not need to be paired for Channels.

We are kind of getting off the main track for the average user; but, Samsung MV-3V4G3D-US_DDR3 where indeed the Magic Green Stick at 1/2 the height with no heat sinks to get in they way of CPU Sinks or Rads. They where not pretty but were an intricate part in platform speed and cooling ;o)
