I couldn't believe it either, but crucial.com has lowered their memory prices yet AGAIN. I was there a few weeks ago and this same memory module was $260.99 and it's down to $177 now. I got a stick on Eb@y for $202.50 and thought I was doing myself a favor. At the time I saved about $60 but now it's factory direct for only $177. Just figured you'd all want to know.

Oh by the way, many of their other memory modules have also come down dramatically in price, this is just the one I've been watching, so I know how much the price has changed.

Shop through ebates.com and save another 3%, this memory will only cost you about $172.

This is extremely hot. I remember when 128 of pc100 used to cost this much. I'm gonna have to get me some of this!

This is unbelievable....I did almost buy a stick or two of Crucial's 256MB PC133 CL2 for $202 (which it was even earlier today) with the web promo....now down to 167.44!! I love it, down $35 in one day!! :D

How low can they go?

Another memory binge like there was on SIMM's a few years ago would be nice....

They must have a program that raises the price if there is a significant demand.

I had it in my cart at $177 then later I went to another computer and it just showed $197! Not bad for $183 shipped!

Supply and demand! The american way, I guess!

Great deal!

I just paid the same price a few weeks ago for some crappy 256mb PC133 (Syncmax I think). I swore that I would not buy any more cheap memory!

I bought this stick last night at about 9pm for $212. After I saw your post, I went to the site and saw it was $177. I called up Crucial and asked them if they would fix the price, and the guy told me that I' have to said the one I ordered back and reorder at the new price. I pissed and moaned for a bit, and he told me that he might be able to get a supervisor to ok the price match. Now he sends me an email telling me that the price he sees is $197, so that's what he can match at. I'm going to try to get him to go to $177.

It doesn't make it any cheaper...it used to, but I've tried checking ram prices both ways, and it shows up as the same price for me.

Well, the way I see it ..... Crucial is playing games with us. They are fluctuating the price and that's not cool at all. It doesn't make sense to jack up the prices as soon as orders start coming in. Not only does it confuses certain customers and pisses off some other customers, it also causes their employees more headache to deal with. ;)

This is like watching the current electoral votes!
We need to email Crucial and tell them their new pricing strategy ain't gonna work! Reminds me of Amazon's "test" pricing program!

EDIT: dummjock, don't worry about me calling! I am a big proponent of leave well enough alone until way after the deal is over.

Matt, the 15% off does make it cheaper, you simply still have the cookie from crucial in your cache. delete that cookie or use another browser, and you will see that the web prices are 15% higher.

i think it will keep going down because DDR Ram is coming out real soon. in fact crucial actually sells DDR ram right now.

Yah...I know, but my point was that the prices went back up, so it doesn't really matter.
